OJ Presents; ‘Paradise on Mars’ Group Show

OJ happily presents “Paradise On Mars“, a group show curated by Erdem Cetrez that brings together a selection of new and recent works by various International and Istanbul-based artists including Adam Stamp, Andrew Birk, Berk Cakmakci, Bora Akinciturk, Burkut Kum, Emma Stern, Huey Crowley, Lara Joy Evans, Michele Gabriele, Monia Ben Hamouda, Nicole Colombo, Pinar Marul and Vitaly Bezpalov; opening it’s doors on the 15th of September in Asmalimescid.

Structured as a non-linear narrative of painting, sculpture, video and site-specific installation, the exhibition fantasizes the cultural aftermath of the colonization of Mars, establishing an abstract link between the politically stuck and contradictory state of the present-day Earth and the physical reality of the Martian geographical landscape.

We are all together, like one big head. Floating over the land like a balloon.
Each line-in to the central heart. It’s located in the nose.
The thing that was figured out on Earth was how to use the internet to connect everyone to everything.
The data would be useful. A big head on Mars.
Is full of many different people, in individual unity.
